There’s no difference in the power of a link when it uses target=”_blank” or is there?

Remember if you link to one website, remember to also link on that website to yours – the comment section is always a good place to start. If the author of the website likes your link, they may include it in their outbound links. Also Remember to be relevant to your niche, if your blog is about flowers, then you want to link to flower sites more than you do other sites – at first it may be a good idea to just link to everyone you can to get the word out. If you guys have a website, then I want to link to yours, so you can link to mine?

It is often advised to not have more than 30 outbound links on one page. In fact if you want to have good PR on the site, it is advised to have a maximum of ten on one page. This is a guide and not the rule however as detailed here

How Google handles multiple links to the same URL on the same page is not completely clear – for instance, tests using unique anchor text sometimes seem to show that the extra links “count”, and sometimes seem to show that they don’t. The concensus seems to be that if the links are good quality and valuable then don’t nofollow them.

Cool Guys

Cup Of Google Caffeine @ Google vs. Google Caffeine Tool

Doing a comparison of the current google vs the new “google caffeine” using my tool fashioned from doing a split query of Ajax API:

http://www.cupofgooglecaffeine.info/googlevsgoogle.html

One finds that there is very little difference between the two other than more relevant results and even current ones are placed at the top of the list. One determines from such results that if you want to get higher rankings on google in the future, you are gonna need to get very social and update your websites fairly frequently with those same keywords.

Go ahead put in your own search terms and give the tool a whirl on your own keywords.

Kick off date for google caffeine

The kick off date for google caffeine is being heralded as happening sometime near the end of the year – or have they already started?

Google Caffeine is the new engine that is being heralded as a major improvement on the current one. It is touted as being faster and accurate at picking out more relevant results, however everything is still in the stages of speculation

Certain indications are that they are doing it on the fly as they did with their gmail, explained – bits and pieces of the engine are slowly being included into google as it carries on.
